Wenge BCBG was formed three years ago by J.B.M’Piana, the leader of the great Wenge Musica before the band split into different divisions, a story so familiar with the top Congolese a bands it is almost seen as tradition - in the mould of the great Zaiko Langa Langa.

M’Piana’s Wenge BCBG outfit has enjoyed great success on the Paris circuit and their latest album,“Feux de l’amour” has sold over 150,000 copies, sales figures rivaled only by Congolese legends Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide. The group is currently on tour in Tanzania and will return to Paris to pick up their gold record award before coming to North America for several engagements.
